Basically a great place to stay. Passes as an insider tip. Accessibility is a bit difficult because of the long uphill drive from the Brenner motorway. However, less than 10 minutes from the motorway. You will be rewarded with a cool night and a wonderful breakfast. The rooms are getting old, but they are clean and the price is right. The cool night at approx. 1,100 m is incomparable to the summer heat in Bolzano. The host family is very nice, even late in the evening (when we arrived) we were served politely and even got something to eat. It's an insider tip, we will come back when we explore South Tyrol. Even when we asked at short notice for one night on the day of arrival, we received a great welcome. The landlord was also very helpful in other ways, so a full recommendation!

We had a lunch break with a group of hikers from Sosat in Trento. First of all, the kindness and courtesy of the owner. And his collaborators. Abundant and excellent quality lunch. Wine has a certain price, but in Sudtirol given the morphology of the land and the precision work carried out in the countryside and in the cellar, the expense is understandable. Personally, I recommend going up from Bolzano with the Colle cable car (a real experience, the oldest in the world, clearly renovated!). Then to the Schneiderwiesen and then to the cable car. There are clearly various excursion possibilities to check on the map and on the ground. Even with snow it's not bad if there is any.
